One minute you’re holding their hand at the beach, the next you’re wondering how they grew so tall. The photographs I treasure most are the ones that remind me not just what life looked like—but what it felt like.

My approach to family sessions is relaxed, patient, and guided by connection. I understand the rhythms of young children, the pauses they need, and the freedom they require to be themselves. Some of the most meaningful images happen in the in-between moments—when kids are being kids, parents are fully present, and nothing is forced.

Whether we’re capturing your family on the coast, with grandparents, or during a fleeting season of life, my goal is to create honest, timeless images that reflect your relationships as they truly are. What a Session Feels Like

Family sessions with Driftwood and Dune Co. are designed to feel easy, unrushed, and natural.

We’ll begin with a gentle amount of guided direction to create beautifully composed images of everyone together—parents, kids, grandparents, and the combinations that matter most to you. Nothing stiff or overly posed—just simple guidance that allows everyone to settle in and feel comfortable.

As the session unfolds, we shift into a more documentary, candid approach. Kids are encouraged to explore, play, and be themselves—whether that means running along the shoreline, laughing in the backyard, or curling up close together. This is where genuine connection takes over, and where many of the most meaningful images are created.

The result is a balanced gallery: timeless portraits paired with honest, joy-filled moments that reflect your family as they truly are—images that feel just as beautiful now as they will years from now.
