When Amanda and Justin told me they were getting married at the Brant Beach Yacht Club on Long Beach Island, I knew it was going to be a day to remember. There's something magical about a wedding on LBI, especially in October when the island’s natural beauty takes center stage. The crisp autumn air, the golden hues of the sun dipping over the bay, and the cozy yet vibrant energy of the season make for an unforgettable setting—and Amanda and Justin’s wedding was no exception.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel the love and excitement in the air. Amanda and Justin’s closest family and friends had gathered to celebrate this beautiful new chapter in their lives, and the intimacy of the group added a warmth to the day that was palpable. Amanda looked absolutely radiant in her lace gown, her smile lighting up the room as she prepared for the ceremony. Justin, ever the calm and collected groom, looked dapper in his tailored suit, his face lighting up the moment he saw Amanda walking down the aisle.
The ceremony took place on the yacht club’s bay beach, with the serene waters of the bay serving as the perfect backdrop. As the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, a gentle breeze carried their words across the water, adding an almost cinematic quality to the moment. The love and joy in their eyes were undeniable, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd. It was one of those ceremonies that reminds you why you love being a wedding photographer—capturing genuine, unposed moments that tell a story.
But the real magic happened during their golden hour portraits. Golden hour on LBI is something out of a dream, and this October evening didn’t disappoint. The sky was painted in soft shades of pink, orange, and gold, reflecting off the calm waters of the bay. We wandered down to the beach, where Amanda and Justin embraced as the golden light wrapped around them like a warm hug. Their love for each other was so evident in the way they laughed and stole quiet moments together, and I felt privileged to capture those fleeting, intimate seconds.
Amanda’s veil danced in the breeze as Justin held her close, the setting sun casting a soft glow on their faces. The beach, the bay, the couple—everything came together so effortlessly, creating portraits that felt like a scene from a romantic movie. These are the moments that make me fall in love with wedding photography all over again.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the party moved indoors for the reception. And let me tell you, Amanda and Justin’s family and friends know how to have a good time! The yacht club’s reception space was decorated with twinkling lights and nautical accents that perfectly complemented the coastal vibe. The energy on the dance floor was electric, with everyone breaking out their best moves.
The couple’s first dance was a showstopper, with Amanda’s gown flowing beautifully as Justin twirled her around the dance floor. They were in their own little world, and it was a joy to witness. As the night went on, the laughter, the toasts, and the epic dance-offs created a tapestry of memories that I’m sure Amanda and Justin will cherish forever.
One of my favorite moments from the reception was when Amanda and Justin snuck snuck away to cut the cake at the top of their cup cake tower. Amanda had changed into a beautiful lace romper for the late night party and these are some of my favorite photos.
Amanda and Justin, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Your wedding was a true reflection of who you are as a couple—fun, genuine, and deeply in love. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and adventure. Here’s to more golden hour moments and unforgettable memories!
