Gia & Sean | A Fun Fall Wedding at The Hamilton Manor in New Jersey

I've photographed a lot of weddings over the years, and one thing I've learned is that the people you surround yourself with can really set the tone for the entire day. Gia and Sean's October wedding at The Hamilton Manor in Hamilton, NJ was a perfect example of that.

These two were an absolute blast, and with one of the biggest wedding parties I've photographed in a while, there was no shortage of laughs, good energy, or people ready to have a great time. From the emotional moments earlier in the day to a dance floor that was pretty much nonstop, this wedding was a whole lot of fun to be part of.

Getting Ready for a Fall Wedding at The Hamilton Manor

The day started with Gia and her bridesmaids getting ready, and with that many people in one place, things were anything but quiet.

Everyone was hanging out, laughing, and enjoying the morning together. At one point, Gia even picked up a guitar and started playing around, which made for one of my favorite candid photos of the day.

I love moments like that. They're not necessarily the things you'd think about when planning your wedding, but they're often the photos that end up bringing you right back to how the day felt.

Gia and her bridesmaids also went with a really great fall color palette. Chocolate-brown dresses, warm-toned florals, and a mix of rust, cream, and muted pinks that worked so well together.

Everything had that cozy October feel without being overly themed or feeling too formal.

An Emotional First Look with Gia and Sean

One of my favorite parts of the day was Gia and Sean's first look. Sean's reaction when he saw Gia was pretty priceless. You could tell how much that moment meant to him, and it was one of those times where I really didn't have to do much other than step back and photograph what was happening.

That's always the goal for me. Give people a little space to be themselves and let the moments unfold.

Afterward, we spent some time wandering around the grounds of The Hamilton Manor for portraits. The fall colors were starting to show, the light was great, and we were able to get a nice mix of relaxed, natural photos and some more classic portraits.

A few of my favorites were the photos of Gia and Sean underneath her veil with the string lights hanging overhead. Just a really sweet moment between the two of them before the rest of the day got rolling.

A Huge Wedding Party and Some Really Good Energy

I have to give a little extra credit to Gia and Sean's wedding party because these guys were awesome. There were a LOT of them, and while getting a group that size organized can sometimes feel like herding cats, this group understood the assignment and everyone was having such a good time that it made the whole experience fun.

The whole wedding had a really great fall feel, too. The chocolate-brown bridesmaid dresses paired perfectly with the beautiful florals by Ivy on Main, who put together an awesome mix of warm autumn tones, soft neutrals, and seasonal textures. Everything worked so well together without feeling overly traditional or too themed.

And honestly, I think that's a big part of what made this wedding so memorable.

Gia and Sean were surrounded by people who were genuinely excited to celebrate with them. You could see it in the way everyone interacted throughout the day, whether we were taking portraits, hanging out between events, or getting ready for the reception.

The Hamilton Manor was a great backdrop for all of it, too. Between the outdoor spaces, the fall landscaping, and the classic architecture, we had plenty of options for photos without needing to go anywhere else.

A Wedding Reception That Did Not Disappoint

If there was one thing that became pretty clear as the day went on, it was that Gia and Sean knew how to throw a party. The reception at The Hamilton Manor was an absolute blast. Once the music started, the dance floor filled up, and it pretty much stayed that way. There were sunglasses, drinks, plenty of questionable dance moves, and a whole lot of people having a genuinely great time.

This is always one of my favorite parts of photographing weddings. Once the formalities are out of the way, everyone can just relax and enjoy themselves, and that's when some of the best candid moments happen. I especially loved the photos of Gia and Sean right in the middle of it all, surrounded by their friends and family.

We also snuck away for a few more relaxed portraits inside the venue, including some of the two of them hanging out on a leather couch. Nothing too serious or overly posed, just a chance to grab a few photos that felt a little different from the rest of the day.

One Really Fun October Wedding in New Jersey

Looking back through Gia and Sean's gallery, what stands out most is how happy everyone looks. Sure, the fall colors were great, The Hamilton Manor was beautiful, and everything came together really nicely. But more than anything, it was just a really fun group of people celebrating two people they love.

And to me, that's what weddings should be about.

Gia and Sean, thanks for having me along for the ride. You two were so much fun to photograph, and your friends and family definitely know how to have a good time.
